Which adoption choice is right for you? The good news is it’s entirely
up to you.
Open – With Open adoption, information about the adoptive parents and the expecting parents is shared with each other and in some cases there is an on-going relationship.
Semi-Open – This is a combination of the traditional Closed adoption and the more progressive Open adoption. Information is shared but rather than having direct contact, adoptive and expecting parents work through Graceful Adoptions.
Closed – With a Closed adoption there is no identifying information shared and no contact between adoptive and expecting parents before, during or after placement. However, medical history and non-identifying family history is still shared with the adoptive parents.
